This lovely 4 story mahogany handrail was restored in a large town house in Bath. It required some strengthening and many sections on the top to be lifted, re-set and glued due to shrinkage. A section on the top flight of stairs was crafted from pine added on in Victorian times, which required colouring down to match the antique mahogany on the lower section. There was a transition in the handrail moulding which required skillful reshaping before polishing.
